The emerging regulatory stance is not anti-innovation. Rather, it reflects concern that the speed and opacity of AI deployment may outpace existing governance frameworks, introducing risks that are difficult to detect, explain, or remediate once embedded in core financial processes.
From Efficiency to Accountability
Financial institutions have historically adopted new technologies to reduce costs, improve speed, and scale decision-making. AI takes this logic further by automating judgement itself.
